On Jan. 22, 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated the third Sunday of January as National Sanctity of Human Life Day. Churches and pastors utilize this day to raise awareness about what the Bible teaches about the sacred gift of human life, how life is under attack, and what the church can do protect the sanctity of life.

Louisiana Black Advocates for Life encourages your church to participate in Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. We will provide resources on this site to make your observance of SOHLS even more special. Please take advantage of these materials, especially by requesting and distributing our free SOHLS Cards as the event gets closer.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” – Psalm 127:3

The sanctity of human life in Louisiana is in grave danger. All in the name of profit, abortion facilities right here in our state extinguish the lives of thousands of unborn babies each year. But we know the truth of God’s love, and together, we can take a stand for all life, from conception until natural death!
